CellularLock serves as a proof of concept for building connected digital systems in areas with unreliable internet connections.
Most developing nations do not have a reliable data networks. However most such nations have reasonably well connected cellular networks. CellularLock aims to display the potential of a basic cellular connection by implementing a basic smartlock.
The inspiration came in the form of a certain wifi outage. Our team was forced to change our initial idea to something that could be built using minimal online resources.
