Web application that allows you to view news and events going on in your city by location ordered by attention on twitter written in flask.
The app gets filters through hundreds of news article submissions in order to aggregate a cutting-edge news feed that is both friendly and awesome. These entries are stored into MongoDB in order to provide convenient access.
The posts are then filtered through twitter api to find the strongest trending ones and then it is graphed with google maps API and then displayed in a simple feed below it.
