We wanted to harness the power of the Bloomberg API in a way that makes it accessible and relevant to a wider audience.
Target Users
With our app, anyone with a camera phone can make reverse image queries against the Bloomberg API. Our target user is aware of her environment and excited to learn more.
Key Features
We use Twilio to forward images from users to a Bing reverse image search. Our app recognizes company logos and national flags. We parse the results with our Azure backend to determine what company , if any, is in the photo. Once we have matched the image with either a flag or a company name we use Bloomberg's API to retrieve information about the company/country and send it back to the user.
