Food Factor gives you a quick visual reference of the global food security and the looming threat of hunger faced by nations now and in the future. Food Factor is simple and quick to use. Click on an interactive map, download data relating to that country's cereal production levels. Then drag and drop icons into selected areas and you'll be presented with a visual graphic snapshot of that country's food security in simple, easy to understand terms. Food factor is an engaging tool that allows you explore the data on your own. There are also a couple of adjusting tools, designed to give you a glimpse future food security situation -based on current trends. You can also change a country consumption profile based on its cereal yield per hectare.Food Factor is a desktop app based on Adobe Air which means it will run on Macs and Windows. It can also be ported as a web application as well as to smartphones and numerous other devices.
