Healthy Community App

Healthy Community App is a free, web-based application that enables public health organizations and local media to promote healthy behavior for flu prevention by creating a dynamic and educational flu section and embedding it within their own website. Each local flu section enables residents to view flu clinics by location, date and sponsoring organization and find information directly from the Centers for Disease Control, including flu updates and the CDC Podcast. For Individuals and Families the flu information section provides a one-stop location for flu information in their community. For Local Media and Community Sites the application provides a new section that drives traffic, is easy to maintain and benefits the community.  For Local Public Health Departments the application will increase awareness of flu clinics, promote healthy behavior for flu prevention, provide an opportunity to build relationships with local media and provide another avenue to distribute emergency alerts. For Regional and State Health Departments the application provides an opportunity to build cooperation and coordination with local public health organizations. Healthy Community App is developed by Emerge Inc. in partnership with the Lorain County General Health District.
