Homeless HelpLine is a free service that allows the homeless population to use any mobile phone to locate resources. A homeless user can simply call our number(408-840-2635) to find free meals or low-cost health clinics. They will also automatically receive a text message with the organization's hours and address. Nonprofit organizations can easily create an account to add their clinics or meals provided to our database.
(I am currently having some issues adding new nonprofit organizations to the database, but I am confident that given more time, I can resolve these issues to provide a scalable, sustainable, and useful service that will hopefully make a positive impact in the lives of the homeless population).
