People of color make up nearly 40 percent of the U.S. population, but only 12 percent of U.S. newsrooms. And the number of women of color inside newsrooms is actually declining. IMPALA wants to change that. The IMPALA App notifies users of jobs they likely aren't aware of or have access to because they aren't part of the hiring managers' social networks. These opportunities include posts that appear on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Tumblr and other platforms.
