When we were making this app, we had the following problem in mind: Although many people want to help the homeless, they can't always do so because of time commitments or distrust over how the aid would be spent. We wanted to fix this problem by creating an app that would put a face on the homeless people you would be donating to and also creating a way to support them without leaving the comfort of your own home. The way this app works is there are different profiles for the homeless and for the "helpers." The homeless profiles present a bio, a name, and a picture to help give a face to the homeless person in aid. The "helper" profile allows you to find homeless people in the area nearby and to donate to them through the app.
