Personally, I developed the entire backend and scaled it up to the current maximum load limit of roughly 200 requests/second on a cluster of Digital Ocean droplets I manage myself. Currently transitioning into a REST-specific framework for the API moderated through my current Django setup. Will also move to Amazon Web Services at any point if the need arises.
