Originating Caller Identification Code - OCIC

This submission would create a code - the OCIC - that would be included in the Initial Address Message (IAM) generated with each voice call destined for a telephone number within the NANP. The OCIC would be populated either by the originating carrier or by the originating caller, depending upon the technology used to originate the call. The OCIC would uniquely identify each originating caller and, likewise, allow for calls from particular OCICs to be blocked on the terminating end.
