Motivation
Every day we venture outside our homes, we see a lot of irritants on the streets like garbage littered on roads or localities with almost no greenery. We ignore them as we believe that "I alone cannot be the solution to these problems". This mindset is one of the main reasons why we have these issues in the first place. We do not believe in the power the individual in society. This is the main motivator for us to build Peepal.
What is Peepal
Peepal is a social network that helps people become and stay happy by getting them to socialize and mingle with each other as they tackle several problems faced by today's society.
When a person walking on the street sees a something that is a problem, He opens our application on his mobile phone, takes a snapshot of the problem and uploads it. People nearby can see this problem and can take affirmative action by fixing this problem and submit the solution by taking a selfie of himself/herself and the solution they implemented.
Our Karma System
The members of Peepal have Karma points which they gain or lose based on the actions they take. For example, posting a problem that the community deems to be genuine brings in 10 points whereas someone who solves the problem gets 50 points. We have designed this system to be community moderated, i.e, The points that are mentioned are decided by other members who use the app. We plan to keep our members motivated by having global and regional leader boards which.
To show the impact Peepal will have and to spread awareness, we use Twitter to post all the problems and the solutions that are posted by the community with our own hashtag. Our use of the elegant card swiping UI design would help our users have a great experience with the application itself.
Happiness Ensured
We believe that Peepal can not only increase the happiness of the user of the application, It will also increase the happiness level of Society in General who's problems are being solved by the users of our app.
