Let's draw a Pokemon

Things inspired me

Weeks ago, I saw a drawing circle game is very popular game in the wechat(a big SNS). This game prompt user to draw a circle based on the radius and center it gives, the it will give people the similarity between the circle people draw and the circle it should be. Then, I want to create a game which can let people drawing more complicated picture based on no sample. Then I saw the newest version of Pokemon game. I found the Pokemon is the perfect picture source of this game, because each Pokemon is just constructed by several lines.

Target user

This program prompt user to draw a Pokemon and our computer to compared this sketch with the database to guess which this Pokemon is and feedback the result to user. The target user of this program is most social media user. Once this program is put on a social media. Recent research shows that the most popular games like flappy bird, , 2048 have several similar features: simple(is easy to understand and finish one game), challenge(hard to achieve high score), reward(get a reward from break friend record), and infinite repeats. This program have these features too, people can finish a game very quickly and they have infinite chances to try. However, infinite chance does not mean this game is easy. Actually, it is so difficult to “unprofessional users” draw a “similar” picture. Therefore, once they create a good Pokemon and get a positive feedback from the program. They will glad to share this achievement. The completion and sharing of drawing Pokemon will let this game known, played and shared by more people. In addition, the target user could be Pokemon lover and other people. Other people can play this game to have relax and forget the stress from real world. Pokemon lover can show their love to Pokemon through drawing a perfect Pokemon

Most proud feature

The feature I most proud in this program is that it has higher accuracy than common algorithm to compare the similarity of pictures. Because this sketch has no color and samples, people can create any Pokemon with any posture. These increased the difficulties to recognized Pokemon.
