Enter #7263 on your phone ("Pound Sand") to block a robocall right now (automatically enters the phone number into a local Central Office (CO) database), and then hang up on the caller.

When the CO receives the #7263 keystokes ("Pound Sand") the first time the call is in progress, it automatically adds the number to its database of numbers you want blocked. Forever after, if that same number tries to call you, the connection is blocked.

This solution requires no additional equipment on the user's phone; it only requires a new dataset on the server at the CO used to compare numbers made thru the local phone company switch to decide to allow or deny the connection to the user.

To reset the user's list of blocked numbers, the user can either call or use the Internet to access their telephone account, and select a reset request to clear all blocked numbers that have been previously saved.
