Summary Proximity-based content delivery and management platform focusing on hyper-local customer interactions.

Description Prox.ly is a robust platform which provides the ability for organizations to take advantage of the most advanced form of highly targeted. customer-focused: content delivery, interaction tracking, and social interaction. Using the concepts defined by the ‘Internet of Things’ philosophy, which envisions a landscape that involves a nearly limitless number of devices communicating together, the Prox.ly platform offers tremendous opportunities for Consumers and Retailers/Location Administrators, while building a vast array of aggregate data for the platform itself. Central to the Prox.ly platform is the Bluetooth LE (BLE) device, commonly known as ‘beacons’, which act as mini transmiters to facilitate identifcation and tracking of close-proxminity interactions. When combined with the powerful Prox.ly BLE mobile app and the robust functionaliy of force.com, the Prox.ly platform offers the management of the complete hyper-local experience.

The Prox.ly platform is comprised of three main elements: Prox.ly Force - Core Prox.ly platform framework runnning on the force.com platform. Prox.ly Force provides the ability to create and manage the entire landscape including managing beacons, creating and publishing content for delivery, and reviewing detailed analytics from the users web browser. Prox.ly Mobile - Consumer mobile application providing a rich interface for interacting with beacons. This hybrid application will run on a consumer device and instantly notify the user when they have come in range of beacon. The Prox.ly framework can react to each users ‘likes’ and previous behavior, to provide for more unique recommendations of beacons that the user will find more relevant. Prox.ly Administrator - Internal Mobile application providing beacon and content management from anywhere. This Salesforce1 application gives direct access to the beacons and content that a Location Administrator has deployed or is deploying, to provide the ability to define the beacon experience at the most specific level.

This platform provides the unique ability for organizations across many industries to take advantage of the benefits of proximity-based interaction tracking. Examples of such use cases are: Retail organizations creating a product-focused in-store experiences, trade shows offering enhanced booth content to attendees, museums providing educational material for every piece of art, a casual pedestrian viewing the trailer for a movie poster as they walk by, a store sending out an offer to a browser who spent 20 minutes with an item but never bought, or even instant access to support tailored for who, where, and when you are.

Finally, each beacon check-in becomes a part of massive data set that can be mined and analyzed for incredible decision support. On-the-fly modification of beacon content can react to spikes in presence, or long term analysis of traffic patterns that can influence fundamental business strategies.
