Sentinel is a DIY security system that harnesses the power of modern technology to efficiently protect your property. Simply set up your laptop so that it's watching over your valuables and run Sentinel - the application will act as an intelligent CCTV and capture any unauthorized activity. Once a movement has been detected, Sentinel will notify you by calling your phone and sending you an email with a photo of the perpetrator.
Every time Sentinel detects a movement, it will capture a photo and upload it to the cloud via the Bitcasa CloudFS API for your later viewing.
Twilio and SendGrid APIs were used for the notification process, and WebRTC/HTML5 was used for capturing snapshots, video, and audio.
