There are 2 stages: We all know that *67 can be used to 'omit' our callerID info when making calls, however, we should be allowed the option of turning on a block for calls with no CallerID through the service that we use. I never answer the phone if no caller ID is present or it says "Private", but it would be nicer if a message played from the phone company that said "this subscriber does not accept non-caller ID calls."

That, in conjunction with the ability to block callers with a *0 option would enable us to report a caller as a telemarketing call. After we hang up on the caller, we just dial *0, this will report to the service provider that the previous call was a telemarketer call.

A report could be generated easily by the phone company of all *0 transactions per month (or available upon request) for the FTC. The FTC can comb this list and weed out legitimate vs non-legitimate robocallers. This would allow the FTC to find out which major overseas providers are being used, the number blocks that these calls are coming from, and possibly allow the FTC to setup a "block" on these address ranges (or threaten a block to force the overseas providers to clamp down on robocalls - As this would cause their legitimate customers to lose the ability to dial overseas.).
