InFluHub.com was built from the ground up to help raise awareness about the flu and serve as a social outlet for people to connect with each other to discuss issues related to the flu. InFluHub.com is completely free for users to use and currently all of the social interactions are taking place on Twitter and Facebook. InFluHub.com features three key sections that each offer content that engages the users. Thecause – This section of the site is dedicated to educating people about the flu, the effects and symptom’s associated with the virus, and resources that can be used to educate others about the flu. Therisk – This section provides viewers with an easy to read visual display of how the flu is affecting the country as a whole. Clicking on a state reveals information in a tooltip indicating the infection level of each state. Thecure – This section serves as the portal to rich media content provided by the CDC about the flu as well as the InFluHub Facebook and Twitter pages. These social networking pages will serve as the breading ground for community based discussions and useful quick tips that can help educate the masses.   The design of the website was meant to be bold and eye catching. Vivid colors offer a high level of contrast with the black and white imagery that draws the viewers attention to the key parts of the website. InFluHub.com’s overall layout provides a clean and easy to navigate experience for the user that is logically built to work without confusing the viewer.   InFluHub.com was built with a variety of standards compliant technologies including: jQuery 1.6.1 Google Maps KML -  KeyHole Markup Language Google Fusion Tables C# 4.0
