A sustainable solution to address unwanted Robocalls lies with the North America Service Providers, rather than with the end users. The FCC/FTC has established a Do Not Call registry for landlines and the FCC has ruled that it is illegal to make such calls to wireless phones. Moreover, the FTC indicates that the majority of these Robocalls are illegal.

Why, if these Robocalls are deemed illegal by the US Government, is the burden placed on the end user to take a response action? The idea that end users should be responsible for taking an action to block Unwanted Robocalls is not workable or sustainable. The Service Providers have the ability to both identify and block the majority of such Robocalls to all devices without user intervention.
