App developers need more ways to generate quality "non-incentivized" downloads of their applications. Average Life Time Value (LTV) of a customer can be >$5 for many apps. These developers are willing to pay $3 or more per install.
I personally felt the pain when I was looking to compensate venues that were willing to promote my app in the real/physical world. I conceived of a solution but it did not make sense to pursue development for a single application, when there are so many other developers that can benefit from this solution as well.
At this hackathon we set out to solve a major problem for app publishers, namely increasing their high-quality downloads in a way that increases their application LTVs.
