Animatrix

There are already hundreds of chat apps but we still believe that opportunities for differentiating user experience are plentiful. We got the idea of enabling people to animate and build their own cartoon together because it’s more expressive, collaborative and fun than smileys or stickers. But we don’t want this to be an isolated app so we built it using Matrix: a federated IM open standard. Every participant in the chat can animate the character, building up on top of what exists: the animation ends up being a full cartoon that can be exported as a movie! And anyone having a Matrix-compliant app can see it and play with it.
