About FlexGrid
FlexGrid is an online market platform for local renewable energy suppliers to distribute energy to buyers, using the current available grid infrastructure. Suppliers can provide renewable energy to the grid at a certain proposed price and local buyers, looking for cheap energy for their homes and electric vehicles, can purchase that energy. Through real-time matching of buyer and seller propositions, an instantaneous price for the energy is determined. This is done constantly through time and hence, establishes an online market platform that is completely self-sufficient. Through future APIs, IoT hardware and industrial partnerships FlexGrid will become a centralized clearing house between DER suppliers and the variety of individual consumers, institutional customers and utilities.
