SMANKET. A smart blanket which allows users to control the temperature of their electric blanket using a web app. Smanket reads the temperature of the room using SmartThings' multiSensor, allowing users to preheat their blanket. The SmartThings' multiSensor wirelessly connects to the the SmartThings cloud, where it sends data to a Smart App that we wrote. Using the SmartThings' API, the webapp sends the users' Smanket preferences to the Smart App. Finally, the Smart App sends these preferences to an Arduino Uno, which controls the blanket's temperature. The Arduino has built in safety features to prevent overheat and false on-state in addition to the safety features of the blanket.
