StrawDrate is an arduino powered straw that connects to an android device and tells the userif they need to drink more water and keep hydrated based on location (temperature and humidity), age, weight, gender, and physical activity. If they don't, the device will give off an alarm after a certain amount of time of being within a warning state.
If the user still does not try to hydrate themselves, it will alert those who want to be notified in the form of a text message, encouraging them to call them (Family, doctors, etc). This would be a great application for those who may not be able to remember to keep hydrated (dementia, alzheimers,etc), or those who are on the go and want to stay healthy.
