We came into the hackathon knowing that we wanted to implement hardware and immediately jumped into using the Myo to act as a MIDI controller. As it stands, we're using a Lua script to map Myo gestures to Traktor, a professional mixing software.
The goal is to improve the user and audience experience. By implementing the Myo gestures the DJ is freed from the majority of device usage, allowing he or she to control their playlist and effects simply by moving their arms along to the beat. Natural motion makes the process more fluid for the DJ and more entertaining for the audience.
