We have developed an iOS application called VTA-KARMA for commuters to engage them to travel via VTA. VTA-KARMA uses the concept of point rewards in which we give points to the commuter based on the number checkins he perform by traveling via VTA transit. We have used the "bus stops" data set provided by VTA to get the location of the bus stops. This application is mainly focused on encouraging more people to use VTA by giving them KARMA points for every checkin which they can use to redeem to get free ride after they reach a certain number of KARMA points.
