WATIsFood was inspired by the frustration associated with trying to find an open eatery at 2am on a Sunday evening after a long study session, by the gurgling stomach that walks away disappointed after discovering that the Coffee & Donut shop only accepts cash, and the overwhelming surge of inertia in the face of having to walk all the way across campus to get a bite to eat.
Our target users are the on- and off-campus students, faculty and staff of the University of Waterloo, Waterloo campus.
WATIsFood is awesome because it allows the user to quickly find the nearest OPEN eatery on campus or be notified if they have to seek off-campus alternatives. Our mission is to bring food to the hungry and shine light into darkness.
So... I’m hungry, what’s open right now?
